Adequate protein intake can be difficult for many while undergoing treatment for cancer.  Decreased intake of protein can cause loss of weight and loss of muscle mass. Adding a protein powder in a smoothie or in between meals will help increase overall protein intake.  It is recommended that men consume 60 grams of protein per day.  Women should strive for 54 grams.
